Ryan Elliott's label Faith Beat is proud to announce the upcoming release of Prosthetic Hands, a Detroit-based techno duo consisting of Joshua Harrison and Keith Kemp. The seventh release on Faith Beat, titled ”The Walk In The Dark” is set to drop May 4th and promises to deliver a fresh take on techno and house.

Prosthetic Hands formed through a shared passion for music and a desire to create something unique that avoids the genre's tired tropes. Their instinctual approach to production involved reaching for their extensive gear list, which includes a Mackie 24:8 bus console, Yamaha DX7, TG77, Casio RZ1, Roland TR-8, and various guitar pedals, among others.

Using Ableton and Reaper for DAWs, the duo focused on each program's individual strengths to bring chaos, organization, and precision to their creative process.
Their hybrid studio environment allowed them to incorporate the restrictive nature of hardware and capture a human performance that could be refined or cut up and resequenced. Prosthetic Hands also credits their sound's uniqueness to playing polyrhythms live and taking risks, capturing the punk energy that they often returned to in their music.

”The Walk In The Dark” is sure to excite techno and house enthusiasts alike with its unique sound and fresh take on the genre. Stay tuned for the release on May 4th, available on Vinyl and digital via Faith Beat.
